My name is Lauren and I am a nurse practitioner, certified nurse midwife and a complex chronic illness specialist. At the age of 25, I became ill suddenly overnight with no answers from western medicine. I was once extremely active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle but, overnight I became so debilitated that I could barely stand up without feeling faint let alone socialize or do fulfilling things.

After 2 years of searching for a diagnosis, I finally found out that diagnoses don’t matter. On paper, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, heavy metal toxicity, mold toxicity, lyme disease, POTS, breast implant illness, nervous system dysregulation, endometriosis, infertility, hormonal dysfunction and parasites. I saw over 20 traditional medical doctors, several LLMD’s, acupuncturists, ND’s, nervous system coaches and more. However, after working with a LLMD and using heavy duty antibiotics for 2+ years, I was not in a better place. In fact, my gut function was worse than ever and my symptoms were just as debilitating, if not worse. So, I decided to stop working with all the practitioners I was seeing and I started my own journey of getting my life back. My body was overwhelmed and I felt depressed and hopeless. Before I knew it, I went from being the medical provider to being the patient and I soon realized that all of my western medical training couldn’t help me.

So, I started studying….I got certified in nearly everything I could get my hands on…I went to conferences, got certified by ILADS, learned from some of the top medical doctors in the field. But, I found things were still missing. Much of the functional medicine training just seemed to use supplements instead of medications for symptom management. It seemed no one was really addressing the body as a whole. So, after much learning and trial and error, I came to mineral balancing combined with foundational work, nervous system regulation, peptides, quantum biology and mitochondrial health to get myself well. Now, I use a variety of approaches with my clients to help them heal, but those approaches never include aggressive killing protocols. I use a wide range of tools based in restoring the body’s own innate capacity to heal to help my clients get well. 

Also, after getting pregnant with my son, I rediscovered Jesus in my life. I say rediscovered because while I grew up in faith, I never truly had a relationship with Him. He is the true Healer and the one I should be giving all the credit to. He is my guiding light and the wisdom I receive from the Holy Spirit guides me with all of my clients. At the end of the day, the protocols are helpful, but finding a relationship with Jesus is the most healing “protocol” of all. 

Since I started this clinic, I have been on a quest to help others find their way through the noise of functional medicine. I treat the whole person……mind, body and spirit in order to help them find health and wellness again. I serve as a guide and a mentor as YOU find YOUR way back to wellness.
